Podcasting Gone Wild: Crime Scenes, Haunted Inns, and LeBron’s Live Hoops Analysis

Hey everybody. Welcome back to Poduty and the News. I'm Jeff, I'm your host. I've

got six great stories for you for Monday, June

23, 2025. We've got LeBron James

Boozy Ghost podcast live in a crime scene

Jeff's out. The cast got the stitches undone but five more weeks with

a boot ain't fun still can't walk but the show's on track so grab

your mic Poduty is back

LeBron and Nash break the game down live while Gettysburg ghost that pot

duty arrived man at work record live during the wreck for a little cause it's

podcasting chaos is where they commit ped a pickle snap picks that filled with

flare and dumb ass drop names and hands in the air and hawk tua turn

live taping into a storm would walk out to crypto shade true to her form

so whether it's ghosts, hoops or meme energy or beauty, we got the stories for

you on Poduty and the

News.

Welcome back to Poduty News. I'm Jeff. I'm going to be walking you through this

week's stories. We made this podcast because we have a theater

in downtown to random. It's just outside of Pittsburgh where we're

performing live podcasts. We have a live audience. We live stream these

and we thought it'd be fun to start tying the news from around the world

where there's live videos, live streams, live podcasts

happening. And I've got six stories lined up for you for this week. Monday,

June 23rd, 2025. Our

first story tonight is

about LeBron James. From Hardwood to headphones, live

basketball minds collide in real time as LeBron James

and Steve Nash brought their hit podcast Mind

the Game to a live audience this past Saturday at

Fanatics Fest in New York City. Known for

deep dive strategy and high IQ hoops talk,

the show has top podcast charts in us, Canada, Australia

and the uk Fans catch the duo

breaking down the NBA Finals and dissecting the game like never

before. This time with the energy of a live crowd

at the Javits Center. It's not just talk, it's basketball

brilliance, unfiltered and in person. And this is just

another way that you can bring your audience together. If you're, if

you're talking about crafts or arts or photography and

anything that you talk about, there's an audience for you. And in this case,

LeBron James and basketball brought together basketball fans

to enjoy an episode of his podcast. So keep that in mind with

whatever you're creating and building. There are people near you who would love

to have a live experience, who would love to share in the ideas

and thoughts you have locally. And this is one way that celebrities are now, you

know, cashing in on building community. They're taking their podcasts

where they perform. We'll go to our second

story. It happened oh at our theater, Poduty Live this past week.

We welcome back the Crips and Corks podcast because the

chills were uncorked once again at the Poduty Live

Podcast theater as Crips and Corks returned to the stage for

one ghostly night ever. This was their second appearance

and that was after tackling Amityville hosts

DJ and Paul took on Gettysburg, one

of America's most haunted hotspots. Armed with first hand stories

and eerie evidence from their overnight stay at the

infamous Farnsworth House Inn. Blending paranormal

tales with perfectly paired wine, this live podcast offers

fear, fun and fermented spirits in equal measure. If

you like your ghosts with a garnish of grapes, this is your kind

of night. This is one of my favorite shows that we do live at our

theater. They've done it twice. Talks of a third one. I won't

give you any spoilers, but this is what you want to see when you

go out. This is the DJ and Paul. They go all

in. They investigated Gettysburg. They actually went to Gettysburg.

They came back with their findings. They have material

written. They're acting things out. It is a full performance and

it's one of the things that you want to catch. If it's not in Pittsburgh,

there's something like this in your area. Go check out your local Crips and

Corks, but come see them again when they come back. They will be live in

the theater or you can watch virtually online. Just proud

to have them as part of the theater and part of our future.

So congratulations, Crips and Corks, for another great episode.

Our third story tonight, live from the Crime

scene, this is Serious Serious Business Men at

Work. The podcast known for asking thoughtful dumb guy

questions like what do you do for work? Took things

to the next level by recording an episode in the middle of an actual

crime scene. Comedians Kyle Pagan and Matt

Peoples were joined by stand up legend Ian Bagg and a

few unpredictable guests, all while navigating a

fender bender protest, traffic and a rookie cop in a

golf polo. The show has interviewed people from

substitute teachers to T shirt moguls and they'll record

anywhere during an eclipse, at a casino or on the

curb of chaos. This time it was comedy confusion and

career talk on location. Literally you have

courtroom subpoenas are going to be issued. This podcast episode

might have doubled as evidence. So this is another example

of taking your show out, performing it in public, doing

things that are fun, and pushing the boundaries of what a podcast can be.

Pushing the boundaries of where can you record a podcast? And Men

at Work do this from the side of the road. And this episode with Ian

Bagg, a hilarious comedian, one of the best, was in

the middle of a crime scene. So just keep that in mind. Things can happen

during a live show. They happen in our theater when we do them live. They

happen when you do them out on the streets. So another great example of

a live show gone crazy.

How about this one? If you're into photography, Lights,

Mike's Action, the Pedal the PETA Pixel

Podcast went live on June 18 at the B and H Build Expo

in New York City. Recording a special episode on the

photography stage at the Javits center. Hosts Jaron

Schneider, Chris Nichols and Jordan Drake answered

audience questions and stuck around afterward for a meet and greet

with fans and fellow photographers. Build Expo, now the

largest photography event in the US Featured top imaging

brands like Canon, Sony, Nikon and Fujifilm along

with over a hundred speakers. The event celebrated the power

visual storytelling while offering hands on experiences, photo

walks and after hours networking for the creative

community. And if you're a business owner and you're doing a podcast,

you're trying to bring your customers together. Well, B and H, one of the

largest photo video retailers in the

world, start to build their own thing. They have their own podcast, they

have their own event and you can do that. Whether you're

selling real estate or crafts and arts in

your local community. A small bakery. There are things that you can do

to bring your audience together to support your business. Maybe you

use your podcast to get new clients. Well, maybe you

want to have a webinar or maybe you want to have something

in person where you can do a short training and bring your

customers to your business. Another great example of using

podcasting live podcasting to grow your

network. Our fifth story tonight, live laugh

random on June 26th, the random esque

Podcast is going live at the Prospect Wine Bar and

Bistro in Westfield, New Jersey with an hour of

audience fueled fun and unpredictability. The show

blends live podcasting with games like 10 thingies,

lyric lunacy and by a show of hands plus

the chance to become an instant random guest right on the mic.

It's part variety show, part group therapy and

fully chaotic in the best way. If you like your podcast with

games, laughs and just a little confusion, this one's for you. I

talk a lot about live podcasts, taking your show live, and

whether you have a theater like we have outside of Pittsburgh, there

are tons of places you can do a live show. Here's a wine

bar, coffee shops in the afternoon, bars,

restaurants. Some of them have back rooms with stages. A lot of bars

have stages where they play band sometimes. And on the weekday

when that space isn't being used, see if that's a space where you can take

your podcast, sell some tickets, hang out with some friends, have some food, have

some drinks, have a good night out. There are plenty of ways to

have this type of entertainment in your neighborhood. You could be

pioneering that form of entertainment. And our final story

tonight, from meme queen to microphone meltdown,

Haley Welsh, aka the Hawk to a Girl, brought her

podcast Talk to Us to Spotify's podcast theater at

VidCon 2025, and it didn't exactly

go as planned. With co host Chelsea Bradford and guest

Whitney Cummings on stage, the rowdy crowd quickly

shifted from the vibe from hype to hostile,

prompting walkouts, awkward silences, and even some slurs

that sparked backlash online. Welch, still

facing heat over her filled Hawk currency cryptocurrency,

kept a low profile while Cummings took charge of the mic. Despite the

chaos, Welch did share her Hollywood dream, which is getting

killed in a horror movie, and joked about the crypto

fallout. By the end, only half the crowd remained, but the

episode left a lasting impression, for better or for

worse. And the importance of building something. The importance of

building something on a foundation. If you, you know,

capture the world's attention through whatever reason,

as easy as that came to you, it'll fall and go

away just as quickly. So when you're building your audience, when

you're building, don't take shortcuts. Don't look for that rocket ship to

the top. Build a solid foundation. Because when you don't, things

get shaky. And when that foundation turns on you, they're going to turn

on you quick. So keep that in mind when you're doing your shows live.

Really foster that community. Build something special. Take it

to the next level. This has been Paduti in the News. Six great

stories for you. I hope you enjoyed it. Go to News dot

P O D U T Y dot com to hear all of our back

episodes. This is our tenth episode and we'll have more for

you next week. Let's hear that theme song. Jeff's out

the cast got the stitches undone but five more weeks with a boot ain't

fun still can't walk but the show's on track so grab your mic
