Hey, everybody. Welcome to Poduty and the News for Monday, June 30th. I'm Jeff Revilla,

your host. We've got five great stories for you tonight,

including Go into Space learning how to monetize your live

and podcast Go primetime news. Wake

up, tune in. Let's start the show. It's for Poduty and the News. Ready, set,

let's go. Jeff's in a booth. We're still on the beat. Stories from

space to the Chicago heat We got this week in space and be lives got

tips and breaking new streams from podcast lips Billy's got five

years worth cheering about and bear down fact with the windy City shout. It's

laugh, it's news it's a podcast view It's Monday with Jeff and Poduty

and the News it's last is news it's a podcast fuse It's Monday

with Jeff andPoduty and the Newss. Hey,

Everybody. Welcome to Poduty and the News for Monday, June 30, 2025.

I'm Jeff. I'm the owner of the Poduty Live podcast

theater, the world's first live podcast theater.

And we put this podcast together just to

show different live events happening around the world with the

hopes that you want to come to our theater and watch some live podcasts,

some live events. We do a lot of things happening. Let's go

to that first story. We're going live from the final frontier.

This was brought to us by space.com and

episode 166 of this Week in Space Touchdown

Live at the International Space Development Conference in

Orlando, where hosts Rod Pyle and Tariq

Malik covered everything from starship explosions

to dark matter mysteries. The duo also answered listener

questions about astronaut comms, space camp, memoir,

memories, and the future of human exploration beyond

Earth. As editors of AD, Astra

and Space.com Pyle and Malik continue to make

cosmic conversations accessible and fun, reminding us that

all the universe isn't just out there. It's

happening right now, right here at the conference, doing a live

show. One of the things we stress is you think outside of the

box. Where can you do your podcast? If you're in a niche and that

niche has conferences or meetups, chances are you can go

to those places and record an episode of your podcast.

Our second story, brought to us by Belive. Cash me on

the camera, cash me outside. How about that? If you're

hitting the go live but not seeing green, Belive has

your back with six tested strategies to make money during your live

streams. From donations and tipping features to paid

shoutouts, affiliate links and exclusive content the

blog breaks down actionable ways for you to turn your audience into

income. Whether you're a seasoned creator or just streaming

for the first time, these tips help make your content work

smarter. So every stream has the potential to pay off. Now,

live streams are something we talk a lot about at the theater here, and

streaming live and making money is just one way to do things.

We also think when you do a live show in front of a live audience,

the returns can be as much as 250 times greater

than if you were just doing a digital version of your show. So think

outside the box again. You can sell sponsorships to live events.

You can put up banners, you can sell the tickets, you can

sell merchandise. You can sell bonus events or special

occasion meet and greets after the show. There's a lot of ways to

monetize not just live streaming, but live in real

life. So take a look at these. These are some great tips from belive. You

can apply these to a live show and to a real live

show in front of people, in front of a live audience.

Let's go to our third story tonight. This comes

to us from inside radio and this just in.

Podcast go prime time. Following the U. S. Military

strike on Iran, political podcasts like the rest is

politics and the rest is politics, US

responded in real time, broadcasting live to

millions across YouTube and podcast platforms. With

over 50,000 live viewers and 1.8 million

total plays in under 24 hours, the lines

between live news broadcasts and podcasts continue to get

blurred. Viewership on televisions made up nearly a quarter

of all streams, showing that audiences now turn to podcasts

for both breaking news and on demand analysis.

As creators push for the return of Spotify live and other streaming

tools, the future of podcasting might look more like

primetime than ever before. Now this gets into that

gray area of what is a podcast? Is a live stream a podcast?

A lot of us will say it is if you take that audio and then

release it as a podcast. So another way to take a

live event live current events and

capitalize on them, especially if you're in the news industry, especially if

you're delivering real time information. If you can live stream that,

record it, and then release it as your podcast, you're just, you're knocking

off two birds with one stone.

Our fourth story tonight comes to us from CBS

Austin. We got five years, one mic and a lot of heart.

In Austin, Texas, podcast host and entertainment

entrepreneur Mildred Millie Botts is

celebrating five years of bringing it in the house with a special

anniversary event on July 5th at the Rocket

Cafe in Austin, Texas. Known for spotlighting

creatives and community leaders, BATS podcast has become a

local favorite and now a milestone moment.

Recently featured as an everyday hero in

ujima Magazine, Bats continues to uplift others

through media and meaningful conversations. It's a well

earned celebration for one of podcasting's most

passionate voices. Congratulations, Millie. This sounds like a super

fun event. And if you're in Austin, Texas, check out this five

year celebration over at the Rocket Coffee Shop.

All right, our fifth story tonight. Ten years later, Bear

down is back. This comes to us from Theater mania. After

a 10 year hiatus, the Bear down podcast is making its

long awaited return live and unfiltered at

Chicago's I.O. fest on July 24,

2025. Born in LA but raised on

Chicago football, comedy and city pride, the

original crew reunites at Candlelight Lincoln park

for a one night only episode packed with laughs and nostalgia.

Featuring Scott Armstrong, Brad Morris, Matt Walsh and more.

It's not just a podcast, it's a homecoming. Chicago.

This one's for you. Another example of a great

live event coming to your town. Go and support these live

podcasts. They are everywhere. We started this podcast a few

months ago just to kind of support our theater, but the amount of

events that are happening across the country, across the world are

insane. If you're in podcasting right now and not thinking about

live shows, you are missing out. Go to poduty.com

check out our podcast at news.poduty.com

lets hear that theme song.

Wake up, tune in. Let's start the show. It's with Poduty and the News. Ready,

set, let's go. Jeff's in a booth. We still on the beat Bringing stories

from space to the Chicago heat. We got this Week in Space and Be Live's

got tips and breaking new streams from podcast lips. Billy's got

five years worth cheering about and Bear Down's back with the Windy City shout.

It's laughs, it's news. It's a podcast Monday with Jeff and

Poduty and the News. It's last news. It's a podcast view. It's

Monday with Jeff and Poduty and the News.
