From Streamyard Updates to Comic Con Panels: This Week’s Hottest Live Podcast News

Hey everybody, it's time for Poduty and the News for Monday, May 26,

2025. I'm looking extra grizzly because it's a

holiday weekend. Let's hear what's on the show.

It's Poduty and the News with Revilla on the mic serving up

the stories that streamers like stream yards got chats lighten up

the scene and hangry for change fights hunger so clean super fan

drop pinnace comic book flare Wait, wait spring lineup is W beyond

Poduty and the News and we're live tonight so grab your headphones

and settle inside Poduty and the News. All right, welcome to

Poduty and the News. I've got five stories for you. Four of them are about

live streaming and one is about a service,

Streamyard. We're filing this one under Talk of the Stream.

The source is Streamyard and they rolled out a new feature that lets creators

showcase live viewer comments directly on screen

during broadcasts. With the new chat overlay,

hosts can highlight questions, reactions and shout outs in

real time across connected platforms. It's a simple but powerful

way to boost engagement and make your audience feel like

part of the show. The feature is available now for users on the core

plan and above. I can't tell you how many times we've seen

this talked about. People wanted to have their comments

on the screen and now not just one at a time, but you

can see the flow, the whole chat processing

in real time. Our second story, we're going to file under

Mic Check full plate. This is coming to us from

WAMC Hangry for a Change Podcast

is going live at the Linda Albany on June

18 for an evening of networking and community driven

conversation. Hosted by chef Greg Silverman,

the show shines a spotlight on the emergency food sector

and the fight against hunger across New York.

Funds raised will support frontline hunger relief efforts,

helping providers access tools and partnerships needed to

meet growing demand. It's storytelling with a

purpose. The mission, to make sure no New Yorker goes on

hungry. What a great way to take your podcast into

the community, support the community and help people get fed.

Some of those food deserts, I live in one. No grocery stores in my

town right now. They're working to bring some in here which will be

great, but anything you can do, take your podcast to help the community.

That's a win in our book. Our third story

tonight filed under Podcast Powers

Activate. Coming to us from Comics Beat the

Superfan podcast made a splash at Comic Con

Revolution in Ontario, Canada this past weekend with a

live panel featuring host Christian Gossett and Kristen

Simon. Though the podcast hasn't officially

launched, this comics industry backed show is already

building buzz with a star studded guest list and

bonus content in the works. Presented by Superfan

Promotions, the upcoming series will feature interviews with

top tier talents like Kelly sue deconick,

Mark Guggenheim and Rodney Barnes.

With extras like art, theme recipes and more,

this podcast is shaping up to be pure fan service in the best

way. One of the things I love about podcasting, you can

take it into niches that support the same type of

topics that you're covering on your podcast. Why not find a

convention, find where the fans are hanging out and be a part

of those type of events. Take your show on the road, find where

people are hanging out and get there.

Our fourth story tonight from the Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me

podcast, filed under Politics, Puppets

and gwar. I always thought this was Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me. He's

been around for a long time. It's an NPR podcast and that's where the source

comes from. But this one gets pretty wild. Wait, Wait, Don't Tell

Me brings a wild spring lineup to NPR.

The May 17 episode of Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me

delivers a delightfully unpredictable mix of

guests featuring actor Josh Gad, Michigan Governor

Gretchen Whitmer and poet Kara Jackson,

taxidermist Amber Makutt,

and, yes, the shock rock Legends of gwar. It's a

chaotic blend of comedy, current events and unexpected

interviews that only

WWDTM

can pull off. Spring has officially sprung and

so has the weird just the legends of live shows.

Wait, Wait, don't tell me they've been doing this for for so long. If you

ever had a chance to see Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me, get out there and

check it out. It's an example of how far you can push live

podcasting. Our final story

of Today podcast Patino

and points. This is sourced by 247 Sports.

The Xavier men's basketball head coach Richard Pitino

is teaming up with Musketeer Reports Rick Brewering

for a live podcast on June 7th at Dana

Gardens. This one's on the pricey side. For a

hundred dollar donation, fans can attend the event, enjoy

drinks and enter a raffle to win courtside seats,

all while supporting the Xavier Men's Basketball Excellence

Fund. The event offers a behind the scenes look at the

Musketeers program and helps fund roster development.

It's podcasting with a purpose and a shot at some premium

seats. We have the tickets, the link to the tickets in the show

notes. All the links for all these articles are in the show notes. We want

to make sure we support the people that are reporting on the news. Our goal

is to bring it to you. What's happening in local podcasting, live

podcasting all around the world. This is just five examples of

what you can do right now. We're doing it every day at the Paduody

Live Podcast Theater in downtown Tarantino. We have live shows, live

podcasters supporting DIY independent podcasts. If

you'd like to be there, go to paduty.com p o d u

t y.com if you'd like more information on this

podcast Paduti in the news go to news.peduti.com

youm can even submit your next live podcast and

we'll read it on an upcoming show. We want to thank you for

being here today. This has been a lot of fun.

Let's get back to that theme song.
